Dhenkanal Packages

Located about 25 km from Dhenkanal and 80 km from Bhubaneswar, Joranda is the headquarter of a unique sect of Odisha worshiping the Supreme God whom they regard as being shapeless and formless. The temples and rituals are unique and a completely different experience from the other temples in Odisha. There are no idols in any of the temples which are amazingly clean. The resident monks of the ashram follow silence and keep cleaning the premises continually. An akhand jyot or lamp is kept alight at all times. The grounds are also the venue of a big fair held in January/February during the full moon of the Hindu month of Magh. One can pick up amazing local sweets and fresh from the field vegetables on the drive back to Bhubaneswar.

It is a very beautiful temple located on the hill. The journey to the temple is very beautiful. Small zoo is also there. Don't eat food from the stalls.
